Newsmakers, the Lesher Speaker Series

Kicking off the sixth season will be General Colin Powell on September 23. Other confirmed speakers are:   Rick Reilly, Award-winning sports columnist and screenwriter, Candace Bushnell, Best-Selling Author of Sex and the City and Lipstick Jungle, Bob Schieffer, Anchor and Moderator of Face the Nation, Peggy Noonan, Columnist and Best-Selling author, and Dr. Robert Ballard, the Oceanographer who discovered the Titanic.

Speakers were chosen from the fields of government, media, science, and entertainment to present a broad array of engaging topics.  “Public discourse is an important part of a community, and we are proud to commit to another five years of that discourse,” said Steve Lesher, Vice President of the Lesher Foundation.  As always, we hope NEWSMAKERS’ will spark debate and inspire; provoke as well as entertain,” Lesher continued.
