The summer’s hottest outdoor concert series in the East Bay is Summer Sounds on the Rudney Plaza. All concerts are FREE and perfect for the whole family!

An exuberant fusion of Latin jazz harmonies and Afro-Caribbean dance music led by GRAMMY® Award-Winning Composer & Conga Player Javier Cabanillas. This eight-piece band adds an injection of vitality and coolness to contemporary tropical music. Since CABANIJAZZ PROJECT's launch in the San Francisco scene in 2016, they have been in demand for the top Jazz Festivals and have been growing their audiences in the Northern California, Central and Southern regions. CABANIJAZZ PROJECT has released three albums consecutively since 2018 of original material composed by Javier Cabanillas and has garnished a 4 Star Review in DOWNBEAT Magazine. In addition, they have been featured in NPR, PBS, JetBlue and United Airlines and just recently landed a Vinyl Record distribution in Japan.
