The Tony Award-winning In the Heights, with a book by Quiara Alegría Hudes has become one of the most cherished musicals of the 21st century. The music takes its cues from the diverse Latin community it represents, infusing hip-hop, salsa, merengue and soul music into the score and with lyrics about love, life, community and the American dream.
