Willkommen to Center REP‘s season finale, the Tony Award-winning musical masterpiece Cabaret. At the close of 1920s Berlin, hedonistic nightlife thrives and expats, locals and artisans coexist at the seedy Kit Kat Klub. With the political rise of the Nazi party, an ominous and violent landscape emerges throughout Germany—some remain oblivious and apathetic, while others sound an alarm. With provocative grit, scintillating choreography, and a highly celebrated score by Broadway legends John Kander and Fred Ebb (Chicago, Kiss of the Spider Woman), Cabaret proves itself to be one of the great theatrical works of the 20th century while never letting us forget “it can happen here.“

approx. 2 hours 25 minutes, with one intermission
